Hauth’s Family Taekwondo is excited to announce the launch of our Competition Team!
The Competition Team is for current Hauth’s Family Taekwondo students only!
Team members will have the opportunity to participate in tournaments throughout the year including:
American Taekwondo Association (ATA) tournaments
Open tournaments
All belts and all ages are welcome!
As members of the competition team you will have access to and training support on:
Traditional songahm forms
Weapons forms including
Bo staff
Nunchucks
Escrima sticks
Kamas
Katana sword
Broad sword
Traditional sparring
Combat sparring (with padded escrima sticks)
Creative forms (created by individuals)
Extreme forms (created by individuals and including acrobatic elements)
The competition team will practice on Saturdays at 11am and Thursdays at 6:15. Additional one-on-one or small group lessons will be included as needed.
The cost for participation in the competition team will be $30/mo for the first family member and $25/mo for each additional family member.
Competition team members will be required to purchase a uniform and any required sparring gear or weapons prior to competing in an ATA tournament. Tournament fees will be an additional cost and will be paid by competition team members who choose to participate.
Participation in tournaments is not required! And less competitive competition and learning options are available!
Students who are interested in learning the additional material available to competition team members but are not interested in competing are more than welcome! The fee structure will remain the same for non-competing students but ATA uniforms and/or ATA approved weapons will not be required. ATA also provides recreational divisions for inexperienced competitors.

Note: Charges will be made by TIV Branding on bank and credit card statements. TIV Branding is a corporation owned by the Hoekenga family that is being used to manage the Competition Team licensing.
