What A Year!
We certainly kept ourselves busy in 2017. Check out the breakdown of all the great work we produced.Needless to say, there was plenty of work to choose from when we went around the office and asked everyone their top 10 favorite projects from 2017. Check out some of our favorite work from 2017:
TSCI Website
Tenant Screening Center Incorporated serves two very distinct audiences. Our DISCOVER phase led us to a recommendation to immediately split Landlords off separately from Property Managers. The result of this slight pivot in user experience has been outstanding for TSCI with a jump in engagement and user signups since the launch of their new site. The new site, coupled with a strong search engine marketing (SEM) campaign, has made a solid impact on the growth of the company.
Friedman’s Home Improvement Campaign
After several years of branding work with Friedman's, we realized a brand building campaign was the next step. Born from our love of company and culture that it embraces, the “Free to Build” campaign was developed. This campaign made a few appearances in 2017, but will be a feature in Friedman's 2018 marketing initiatives. Check out the commercial we wrote, storyboarded and directed here.
Christina Cooks Website
When Christina engaged us to redesign and develop her website, we spent our DISCOVER phase looking at what the natural foods industry was doing along with the trends guiding celebrity chefs. Christina is very unique in her method so we felt a thread of both industries would serve her well...but a unique approach was essential. The design we ended on highlights Christina’s personality as well as leads visitors to the many features of her website quickly and easily.
Fiscalini Cheese Company Campaign
When Fiscalini Cheese Company engaged us to rebrand their company and redesign their packaging they had already won “World’s Best Cheddar” three times in London and were the only American made cheese to win. Our challenge was to pull their brand up to represent the quality of their product. In 2017 we were engaged to develop a messaging campaign to reinforce the marketing of their updated brand. We spent the majority of our DISCOVER phase really digging into what makes the brand so unique and as a result we created a messaging campaign that captures the essence of Fiscalini Cheese Company.
The Duchamp Healdsburg Hotel Branding
The Duchamp Healdsburg has been a secret spot for visitors in Sonoma County’s wine country for more than a decade. The new owners and operators saw the opportunity to develop this little gem in a Healdsburg mainstay and needed branding to support the unique experience The Duchamp offers. This branding project was a bit of a unicorn in that the initial concept we presented remains unchanged through the entire rebranding project, complete with a new tagline: "Stay Different."
Yank Sing Packaging
Yank Sing is a highly awarded San Francisco dim sum restaurant. For three generations, this eatery has produced a hot sauce that pairs perfectly with the food they serve. Recently the family decided to make the jump from producing the sauce in the restaurant kitchen and selling it to local markets to a much larger distribution reach. We were hired to develop packaging to match.
TeeVax Digital Marketing
TeeVax is a local home appliance retailer faced with the challenge of competing with “Big Box” retailers for customers. To make their digital display campaign more cost efficient for TeeVax, we employed a platform that allows targeting of addresses through IP address. And by using a data merge, we were able to target potential customers who were in the process of moving or had just moved into new homes. Click Through Ratios (CTR) on this campaign were well above industry standards, and a survey of the TeeVax sales team confirmed that new customers had mentioned the ads as a reason for coming to the store. We have since expanded the use of the platform to feature ads for the Custom Kitchen Design Department of TeeVax.
Hundred Acre Wine Group Campaign
We have worked in the wine industry since 1999 and have developed numerous in-store campaigns through the years. Hundred Acre Wine Group hired us to develop several campaigns for their Layer Cake brand which were extended to case cards, neckers, talkers and magazine ads.
TIV Branding
Shameless promotion. We rebranded ourselves and launched a brand new super-clean website that truly shows who we are, the work we produce and our process. We put ourselves through the same process we do with every client. We started with a solid DISCOVER phase, we learned a lot about who we are and who we want to be when we grow up. Check it out.
Server Migration
In the span of several months we moved 204 websites from our three old servers to our new superfast server. This was a daunting task that may have taken years off of our lives, however it was well worth it. With the migration, every site we host is now faster and more secure. Always a good thing.
